Changes to WHAP Calendar-IMPORTANT!

Hello, WHAP Warriors.

Due to the shortened bell schedule today (and some technology glitches in my class...sigh), we were not able to get through all the presentations in either my class or Ms. Jones class. Therefore, we are pushing your reading quiz to Monday, September 21st. I know, what a bummer. :) Here's what that means for you:

-Tomorrow in class, we will be finishing presentations and starting our China readings and India webquest. That means less homework for you this weekend-yay!
-Monday, you will have your Reading Assessment and access codes for textbooks will be distributed.
-Thursday, you will write a compare/contrast essay for a major grade.
-All other assignments will continue as originally planned.

Please note, all reading pages have been bumped back a day to correspond with this schedule change. The calendar below has been updated.

In case you don't finish the China readings in class tomorrow, I'm still including the links below for your access at home. Let us know if you have any questions!

More pages for second Reading Assessment

Hi everyone!

So good news and bad news...the bad news is, it is going to be more complicated than we bargained for to gain online access to your book. It still won't be hard, but showing y'all how to sign up is a semi-complicated process. The good news is, that means we're posting the rest of the pages you need for the second reading assessment on here!

Just to clarify, you need both the pages included in the links in this blog and the pages from the blog below titled "Pages for Second  Reading Assessment" for your quiz on September 18th!!

Let us know if you have questions.

Welcome to WHAP!

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to AP World History (WHAP) with Ms. Gillihan and Ms. Jones! We are so excited to have you in class this year. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you during the duration of this class!

This blog is going to be one of our  most-used and most important resources, so get familiar with it! The calendar below will reflect all reading pages you  are responsible for, as well as the dates of all tests, essays, and other major assignments. You can also  comment on any blog, and Ms. Jones or I will get back to you!

Follow us on Twitter, too! We will send you reminders about assignment due dates and answer any questions you have! Ms. Jones is @MsJonesCWWH. Ms. Gillihan is @GillihanHistory.

For the first few weeks of class, you will have to access the book pages on our World  History wikispace. To find the pages, visit http://cwwh.wikispaces.com and click on the "Pages and Files" tab in the top left corner. From there, you should be able to search for the pages. We will also try to post direct links on the blog. We know this is an inconvenience, but we will all just make the best of it until the online book access codes become available! If you have any questions, please let us know!

Let's have a great year, WHAP warriors!
