Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays, WHAP warriors!

Before you know it, the end of the week will be here, and the holidays will be upon us! Ms. Jones and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for a great semester. We know there have been some ups and downs, but we are very proud of all of you for sticking with WHAP and reaching great levels of success! Rest up during the break so you can come back energized for the second semester. You're halfway there!

Test tomorrow!

Hello, WHAP warriors-

You have an exam tomorrow, October 18th. There will be reviews both today after school in 2316 and 2313 and tomorrow morning beginning at 6:30 AM in the Teaching Theater. Make sure you complete your review sheet to increase your chances of success on the exam.

The test will cover the following topics:
-Byzantine Empire
-Rise and Spread of Islam
-Africa gold/salt trade
-Crusades

Post on the blog with any questions, and come in prepared for world domination tomorrow!

EXAM TOMORROW!

You have your first multiple choice exam tomorrow. 50 questions, multiple choice. If you turn in a COMPLETED review at the beginning of class tomorrow, you can get +5 on your test.

Ms. Jones and I will both be holding review sessions after school today (Tuesday), and there will be a large review in the Teaching Theater tomorrow morning from 6:30-7:15 AM.

Post on here if you have questions! I'll be on here tonight to anwer any questions left in the comments, but you can also comment back and forth with each other and help each other out.

Homework for 8/27

Hello, fantastic WHAP students!

Remember, you have a few homework assignments tonight:
  • Read the article "Was Farming a Good Idea?" and take notes
  • Watch the migration video at www.bradshawfoundation.com/journey (This link is also on the side of the blog)
  • Finish reading/taking notes over the Jared Diamond article, if necessary
Don't forget, we will be having a discussion over both articles, the video, and the Crash Course World History video that we watched in class today.
